UKF Bass Culture Launch Party at Hammerstein Ballroom NYC
This past Saturday night, December 1st at the Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC, the UKF Bass Culture’s US launch party showcased an evening of dubstep rhythms and ground shaking bass for everyone to enjoy. As cold as it was out, we appreciated that the girls all carefully took the time to dress sexy and strip down out of their coats once they arrived, revealing their hot outfits, fishnets and big furry white moccasins! LED lights strapped to teens in various ways with lots of funky breathing apparatus, masks, flashing baby binky’s, flashing tshirts, light up finger tips, angel wings and such costumed the young accepting crowd.
The purely synthetic electronically generated and heavily triggered music pumped out plenty of gratuitous bass for all those bass heads out there. It was reminiscent of standing at the center of Palladium back in the day. Headliners Chase & Status and Borgore performed their latest mixes for the crowd along with the full line up of UK DJ’s for the evening: Alex English, Xilent, Gemini, Dirtyphonics, Delta Heavy, Bare Noize, Borgore and Chase & Status. Smack my bitch up by Prodigy, seemed to be a common theme song for all the Dubstep DJs and always got the crowd jumpin.
The good looking young twenty something crowd packed in as the night progressed and spasming patrons in all directions filled Hammerstein, glimpses of passed out teens being carried out, puking on the standing room only floor section, mesmerized individuals staring at waving LED lights from other partiers, all par for the course and was a great evening of fun, never dull!
