Toshiba Thrive Android

Here’s another tablet that is slated for a release in July. Toshiba is releasing their latest offering, the Thrive Android 3.0 tablet. This tablet is just like the previous ones and seems fairly good for both professional and personal life. Day to day work can comfortably be performed on it.  The Thrive is Toshiba’s US version of the Regza tablet. It is powered by Tefra 2 dual core processor that can handle complete HD 1080p video playback and runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb tablet-friendly OS.

This new Toshiba’s Thrive has including great features such as a 5 Megapixel main camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera for video chat, a 10.1-inch 1280×800 capacitive touch screen and HDMI output.

The Toshiba Thrive supports both WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also offers an SD card slot and a USB connector. t comes with 8GB, 16GB or 32GB storage. It is running Android Honeycomb; the Thrive comes with the Swype keyboard pre-installed for easy typing.

Well its still hard for me to judge about how good this one is until I’ve actually worked my own hands at it. But by its “bling” personality, it sounds pretty appealing. It already is supposed to be released in a wide range of colors including white, pink, green, purple, blue and silver. It is just like the other Tablets it terms of weight. Yep, it’s pretty light, I’m still not sure about its exact weight but as soon as I find out I definitely will post it as a comment for this article. The Thrive will be launched in July in US for $429 for the 8GB, $479 for the 16 GB one and $579 for the 32 GB one.  We’ll also be waiting for Apple to release IOS 5 for iPad tablet and iPhone alike to compare Android 3.0 honeycomb operating system.

From my point of view, I still don’t think that it compares to other tablets in terms of functionality, It already seems like a basic model of a tab in terms of its design, but then you can’t judge a book by its cover so I’m just going to have to wait and see.
